Get ready for a magical Christmas at The Wheatsheaf Inn!
We’re excited to announce that our festive menu is now available from 29th November to 24th December 2024*. Bookings are now open, so whether you're planning an intimate dinner or a group gathering, we've got the perfect setting and seasonal dishes to make your celebrations unforgettable.
Our festive menu is exclusively available for bookings only. For parties of 10 or more, we kindly ask for a pre-order to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Prices for the festive menu are £40 for three courses or £30 for two courses.
* Please note that on Christmas Eve, we’ll be only serving our Festive Menu so booking is essential for that night.
Festive Menu Highlights
Here’s a sneak peek of some of the dishes you can expect from our delicious festive menu:
Starters:
Mackerel Mousse: Cornish mackerel with lightly pickled cucumber and melba toast.
Prosciutto & Figs: Aged prosciutto hame with caramelised red onion chutney and warm sourdough bread .
Creamy Mushrooms on Toast: Garlic and thyme chestnut mushrooms on grilled sourdough with dressed winter leaves.
Mains:
Roast Turkey & Chestnut Stuffing: Served with pig in blankets, roast chateau potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and red wine gravy.
Butternut & Sage Wellington (vegan): Accompanied by braised red cabbage, tender-stem broccoli, and a mushroom red wine reduction.
Salmon En Croûte: Filled with dill cream cheese and served with sautéed kale, creamed potato, and a white wine velouté.
Desserts:
Chocolate Fondant & Raspberry Sorbet: Dark chocolate fondant with Chantilly cream and sorbet.
Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée: Accompanied by hazelnut biscotti.
Christmas Pudding: Topped with butter brandy sauce, vanilla ice cream, and cinder shard.
