Our Story

Our family has been involved in the meat industry since 1965, starting at Smithfield, London. Anthony Miserotti started at Matthews Butchers in Smithfield at 16 years old. Matthews was one of the major post-war retail butchers’ groups; supermarkets were yet to come, and high streets were affordable and able to thrive! 

Today, our long-established wholesale and retail butcher’s shop in Fulham, Dickenson’s Quality Meats, is managed by Andy and his wonderful team, and procures the finest beef, lamb, pork and poultry products, which will be supplied to The Wheatsheaf Inn.   

Anthony’s son, Mark, also started his working career in Smithfield in 2009 and later became a director of Dickenson’s in Fulham.

New Venture 

The Wheatsheaf Inn is a new venture for our family, and we are thrilled to bring the pub back to Grayswood and the local community after its closing in 2020.

All our meat comes directly from our shop in Fulham, and is sourced from there using our decades of experience in the industry.
